Isn't it the Board's job to ask questions and provide direction about big decisions? In my experience a boss giving direction and asking questions doesn't equate to criticism but maybe you don't live up to your employers expectations and this is based upon your own experience. Maybe he wanted the other proposed weekend because having Barret Jackson on the fourth of July might be too close to the Fair, which is his first responsibility? That is where I would start, those guys want to take over everything.
